PSEG has a long history of supporting the communities where we live, work and operate. Recently, PSEG’s Bridgeport Harbor Station 3 Plant Manager, Vincent Fiumidinisi, was able to provide support to Bridgeport’s OPTIMUS Health Care, a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services and programs for individuals and families in the Bridgeport and Stamford areas. OPTIMUS provides greatly needed medical, dental, and specialty care services. PSEG Power CT recognizes this need and is happy to support OPTIMUS’ mission to serve as the patient-centered medical home for its communities.

PSEG, well-known for being an iconic power and gas provider, is a company who is also recognized for having a strong sense of corporate responsibility. Recently, PSEG supported The Black Rock Food Pantry which helps provide food for families in the Bridgeport community. After paying rent, utility and other expenses, many hard-working families in Bridgeport are left with little to nothing eat. The mission of the Black Rock Food Pantry is to ensure that nobody goes to bed hungry. PSEG’s community outreach helped to provide over 500 meals to families in need. PSEG, along with other organizations such as Sacred Heart University, Kids First Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, the Norden Club and the Black Rock Community Council, Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, RTA International, Village Bagels, helps this volunteer-run organization serve their community year round.

“Wherever PSEG lives, we aim to give back to the community we serve,” stated Karl Wintermeyer, Operations Manager for PSEG’s Bridgeport Harbor Station as he reacted to some exciting news. On May 23, 2017, PSEG and its employees were honored by United Way of Coastal Fairfield County with the Norman Leeds Giving Back to the Community Award at the 2017 LIVE UNITED Celebration.
