On Wednesday July 10th Bridgeport Harbor Station and Bridgeport Energy hosted 3 Bridgeport High School Students and 3 Fairfield University summer educators participating in the 2019 Summer BASE Camp program. Students and educators toured the site while learning how energy is produced. BASE Camp is a summer camp program for female High School kids from Bridgeport and focuses on the sciences. BASE Camp is designed to engage high school, female students in hands-on, research-based experiences in the natural sciences and mathematics, in an effort to inform and excite students about the process of science. Fairfield University Professor Kraig Steffen has been working with these students on Energy with a focus on current and evolving technologies, including renewables. PSEG is proud to be a supporter of a program that empowers young women to pursue their dreams in the STEM field.
