Bridgeport Harbor Station’s (BHS) newly constructed unit 5 energy plant was one of several area developments witnessed by a tour group of realtors and real estate brokers. The tour arranged by the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors included three bus loads of real estate professionals who were impressed with what they saw on the morning of December 13th.
The tour which began at the Steelpointe Lighthouse Building lobby gave the tourists a view of BHS 5. PSEG’s Karl Wintermeyer shared BHS 5 construction facts and talked about the energy related efficiency advantages of the new plant.
Later the tour snaked through Bridgeport including to the Cherry Street Lofts, The University of Bridgeport, the General Electric development site, BHS 5, and other points of interest. General real estate, housing and development trends were discussed by the tour bus guides as realtors noted facts and information they could share with their potential clients. BRBC officials say the successful tour was the second such tour in recent years.
