Luncheon Launches 2018 Barnum Festival
As part of the Bridgeport community, PSEG is proud to be involved in the one of the city’s longest standing traditions, the Barnum Festival. On Friday the 18th, PSEG joined the Bridgeport community at the Whip, Whistle, and Watch Luncheon, the official kick-off event for the 2018 Barnum Festival. The luncheon also honored this year’s ringmaster, Johnny Vazzano – a local restaurant and business owner who is invested in supporting the needs of his community. Local community leaders, including Bridgeport mayor Joe Ganim, were amongst those in attendance to celebrate the start of the Barnum Festival Events.
Originated in 1948, the Barnum Festival honor’s the late P.T. Barnum, a renowned showman and Bridgeport city leader. This year festival celebrates 70 years of uniting together, giving back, and celebrating those who serve others. Events span from late spring to early summer and are geared towards building community spirit, fostering philanthropy and celebrating all of the cultures represented by the city’s residents.
PSEG is honored to be able to keep the traditions of Bridgeport alive as a part of the local community.
