PSEG Accepts 2018 BRBC Economic Development Award
This afternoon regional business and community leaders gathered for the 144th Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s (BRBC) Annual Meeting and Luncheon. PSEG is honored to have been awarded the BRBC 2018 Economic Development Award. Rick Thigpen, Vice President of State Governmental Affairs for PSEG, was present to accept the award and address the large audience. Upon presenting the award, Sarah Spencer from Connecticut Airport regarded PSEG as a “partner in the business and community fabric of the city of Bridgeport.”
Since 1988 the Bridgeport Regional Business Council has been an organization geared towards promoting the economic development of the Bridgeport Region. The Economic Development Award is presented annually to major contributors to economic development in the region. The recipient is a BRBC member company that is undergoing a “brick and mortar” development project and will result in the growth of tax base and jobs in the greater Bridgeport region. The BRBC aims to be an advocate for the business community while being a leader, initiator, and facilitator in local and regional economic development efforts.
PSEG is humbled to have been chosen as the recipient for the 2018 Economic Development Award and we will continue to be a prominent and influential community member.
