PSEG Power Connecticut Partners With Roosevelt School
On Thursday December 12 th PSEG announced our partnership with Bridgeport’s Theodore Roosevelt School. PSEG representatives, Bridgeport city council and superintendent were present to speak to Roosevelt students, teachers and parents about what the partnership means.
This unique partnership will allow PSEG to have an affect the lives of the children in the South End who live in the shadow of our Harbor Station through support of two programs; the Washington D.C. Trip and Nature’ s Classroom. Large school trips are generally entirely supported by student fundraising, direct cost to the families and the school’ s general budget. Students are required to hit benchmarks academically and to maintain attendance to qualify for the trips.
On Tuesday, November 12th with the help of PSEG Power Connecticut Roosevelt School was able to send over 20 students to Nature’s Classroom where they experienced education from another perspective, outside the walls of the classroom.
As a leading corporate citizen, PSEG Power believes in supporting those who live in the communities we serve by providing opportunities that foster academic and holistic growth. We look forward to hearing stories from students regarding their trip to Washington DC and are #PSEGProud to be a part of their growth!
