PSEG Sponsors SCBCC and Small Businesses
Thursday, December 6, 2018 – PSEG Power CT had the honor of celebrating the 11th anniversary of the Southern Connecticut Black Chamber of Commerce (SCBCC) at their annual Holiday Celebration. The event recognized outstanding businesses as well as business and community leaders that provide exceptional practices and support to small, minority and women-owned businesses. The economy can take a toll on small businesses in the community, but the annual Holiday Celebration recognized the strength that these businesses possess and the challenges they have overcome.
The SCBCC actively works to bridge the gap to success by raising awareness of the importance of a multicultural society. As a business organization committed to ensuring the economic growth and sustainability of minority-owned companies, SCBCC serves the communities of Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport, and New Haven and is the state’s first regional black chamber of commerce.
With such an ethnically diverse city such as Bridgeport, supporting small and minority-owned businesses is essential in sustaining a strong community. PSEG is excited to support the SCBCC and all that they do for the City of Bridgeport and Connecticut.
