Supporting Community Enterprises

Supporting Community Enterprises

On Thursday October 4, 2018 the Minority Construction Council (MCC) held its 2018 Construction Expo and Matchmaking event. PSEG was honored to attend and actively support the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) community and to speak about the Ready2Work apprenticeship training program. The event was focused on providing networking and matchmaking opportunities to MBE contractors/suppliers in Connecticut and was a great opportunity for PSEG and other attendees alike to form partnerships that will translate into future projects and jobs.

The mission of the Minority Construction Council is to advocate, support, and create development opportunities for minority contractors throughout the state of Connecticut while also supporting Corporate Members in their efforts to source with minority construction contractors. Building relationships between our MBE members, Corporate members and partners in the public and private construction industries is also a priority of the MCC.

Building and fostering relationships with small, minority businesses is imperative in maintaining our role as an opportunity provider for the community. For more information on our Ready2Work program click here, or if you’re interested in becoming a supplier learn more here.
