PSEG is a strong advocate of building relationships that create an environment that respects everyone’s unique perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking. On Saturday, September 22 the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) New Haven Metropolitan Chapter inducted 12 new members who are future leaders within the greater Bridgeport and New Haven areas.
As an avid supporter of this chapter since it was first chartered, Karl Wintermeyer, Plant Manager with PSEG Power Connecticut LLC, was honored to be a guest speaker at the ceremony and to congratulate the new members. This is just the beginning of their journey as strong advocates, leaders and mentors and working towards a common goal of promoting leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment within the community and workplace.
Chapter President, Valencia Goodridge was also honored Saturday evening by the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as one of the 2018 “100 Most Influential Blacks in Connecticut.”
PSEG is proud to support organizations such as the NCBW who empower women of color to be strong leaders in our community.
